Keeping your mower bag clean improves the quality of your cut when you cut your lawn, and reduces the strain on your mower's engine. What's even better is that keeping your mower bag clean is nice and easy to do.
To prevent future buildup of debris, empty your mower bag of clippings as soon as you have finished using it. For harder to shove portions of clippings use a stiff brush to get rid of them. Every once in a while you may need to use plain soapy water (anything harsher than this could damage the bag) and a sponge to give the bag a good clean, and leave it to dry. Just remember to remove the mower bag, and check it for damage before cleaning it with your soapy water solution.
