What do you think of when you think of a minute? A baby taking its first breath, as one does every minute in the UK. The Sumerians and the Babylonians, the two great civilisations whose number systems determined the minute’s length? Or, to turn to music, Chopin's Minute Waltz that takes a little more than just a minute to play, or the Tavares song, It Only Takes a Minute?

Each year we are given over 500,000 minutes, and we hope you'll spend one of them falling in love with our new blog, The Gardens and Mowers Minute. The Gardens and Mowers Minute will cover any and everything to do with gardening and garden machinery. So down tools, get yourself a nice hot cuppa, and pop over Monday to Friday to spend a Gardens and Mowers Minute in our virtual shed.
